Eliakim Coulibaly, Ivory Coast's fourth seed (ATP 275) and defending Abidjan 2 champion, entered as the clear home favorite against lower-ranked Yanki Erel (ATP 394) on outdoor hard courts, bolstered by surface familiarity and crowd support in Côte d'Ivoire's humid conditions. Coulibaly exited early last week in Abidjan 1 (round of 32 loss to Hamish Stewart), while Erel fell in quarters there amid a string of recent Challenger defeats. No head-to-head history exists. Critical update: Erel withdrew pre-match, replaced by lucky loser Oskar Brostrom Poulsen, whom Coulibaly dispatched 6-2, 7-6(4) to advance—likely resolving the market to Coulibaly via walkover under ATP rules, reflecting traders' pre-withdrawal consensus on his edge.
