In the Zagreb Challenger semifinal on outdoor clay, top seed Jan Choinski (No. 122) faces fourth seed Arthur Fery (No. 157) in their first head-to-head matchup, with trader consensus reflecting Choinski's higher ranking and experience despite a grueling three-set quarterfinal win over Chris Rodesch (6-7, 6-3, 7-5) on May 14. Fery advanced more efficiently, dropping just one set across three matches, including a straight-sets victory over Dominic Stricker, showcasing strong clay form amid both players' solid tournament runs without reported injuries. Key factors include Choinski's baseline consistency versus Fery's aggressive returns, potential fatigue from Choinski's longer sets, and neutral home/away dynamics as British rivals, keeping the contest closely contested on a medium-slow surface favoring endurance.
