Hamish Stewart enters the Abidjan Challenger semifinal against Maxime Chazal as the higher-ranked contender at around No. 350 ATP versus Chazal's No. 520, bolstered by a stronger hard-court record and recent momentum from a title run in an M15 event earlier this month. Both advanced via quarterfinal wins on April 24: Stewart outlasted Yanki Erel 7-6(5), 7-6(7) after straight-setting Hamza Reguig in the round of 16, while Chazal grinded past Karim Bennani 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 following easier prior victories. No head-to-head history exists, with no reported injuries or withdrawals; the match on outdoor hard at Central KAYDAN could favor Stewart's serve in humid conditions, though Chazal's experience adds upset potential.
