In the Cagliari Challenger quarterfinals on clay, higher-ranked Jesper de Jong (No. 109) holds an edge with consistent ATP-level experience and a recent straight-sets upset over second seed Adrian Mannarino, showcasing strong return pressure and clay adaptation amid high-bouncing conditions. Italian wildcard Gianluca Cadenasso (No. 232), riding momentum from a career-highlight 7-5, 6-1 demolition of No. 78 Mattia Bellucci on home soil yesterday, leverages crowd support and big-serving prowess but faces stylistic challenges against de Jong's counterpunching. No injuries reported; first head-to-head favors de Jong's superior recent form (3-2 last five) over Cadenasso's qualifier breakthroughs, with weather clear for today's outdoor clash. Trader consensus reflects de Jong's ranking and matchup advantages amid Cadenasso's upset potential.
