Alejandro Tabilo, the No. 2 seed ranked No. 43, holds a perfect 3-0 head-to-head edge over Ignacio Buse (No. 58, No. 5 seed) entering their Aix-en-Provence Challenger quarterfinal on clay, with their most recent clash in February's Rio Open semifinals. Tabilo rallied past veteran Roberto Bautista Agut 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 in the round of 16 yesterday, showcasing resilience despite a shaky start, while Buse advanced convincingly through qualifiers and early rounds amid strong momentum from his breakthrough Masters 1000 win over Adrian Mannarino in Madrid last week. Both South Americans thrive on clay—Tabilo with a career 55% win rate—but Buse's rising form and motivation add upset potential in this closely contested matchup on a fast-drying outdoor surface.
