Hynek Barton enters the Savannah Challenger first-round clash on green clay as the trader-favored qualifier against slightly higher-ranked Daniel Elahi Galan in their first head-to-head, with recent form driving the consensus. Barton notched a quarterfinal run at last week's Tallahassee Challenger—also clay—upsetting Garrett Johns 6-4, 6-4 before a tight loss to Michael Mmoh, boosting his momentum on the surface. Galan struggled there, falling in the opener to Darwin Blanch 3-6, 6-1, 6-4, amid a 3-8 clay record this year. No injuries reported; outdoor conditions favor steady baseline play, with Barton's upside potential key for an upset bid.
