Terence Atmane enters as the higher-ranked player at No. 47 against No. 65 Miomir Kecmanovic in the Madrid Open first round on clay, with trader consensus reflecting Atmane's recent surge to a career-high No. 41 and solid clay form, including a straight-sets R64 win over Ethan Quinn at Monte-Carlo before a R32 loss to Tomas Etcheverry. Kecmanovic holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge from their Acapulco quarterfinal clash on hard courts (6-3, 6-3) earlier in 2026, but arrives in a slump with four straight losses, including a Munich R1 defeat to Alexander Zverev and early Monte-Carlo exit. No injuries reported; Madrid's high altitude favors big servers like 6'4" lefty Atmane, though Kecmanovic's experience could factor in this evenly matched ATP Masters 1000 opener.
