Petr Yan leads the market at 67% because he reclaimed the UFC bantamweight title by upsetting Merab Dvalishvili via unanimous decision at UFC 323 in December 2025, immediately reigniting calls for a trilogy bout. Both fighters have publicly endorsed the rematch, with Yan confirming Merab would receive the next shot upon recovery and Merab stating in May 2026 interviews that he wants to face the champion next to settle the rivalry. Umar Nurmagomedov and Cory Sandhagen sit in the low-to-mid 20s as the top division contenders based on recent title challenges and rankings momentum, while lower-probability names like Song Yadong reflect deeper options if the UFC prioritizes fresh matchmaking over the Yan trilogy. No major injuries or scheduling conflicts have altered the landscape in the past month.
