Ben Shelton enters the Halle Open first-round clash as the clear market favorite at around 66% implied probability, reflecting his world No. 5 ranking, recent Stuttgart grass-court title, and consistent 2026 form with multiple deep runs. The 23-year-old American makes his Halle debut after strong results on the surface, bringing powerful serving and aggressive baseline play suited to grass. Nick Kyrgios, a wildcard entrant with a strong Halle history including a 2022 semifinal, remains a threat due to his explosive serve and experience reaching the Wimbledon final, yet traders discount him at 35% amid limited singles activity, multiple knee and wrist surgeries, and just one win in 15 months before Stuttgart. The matchup highlights contrasting trajectories on a fast surface favoring big servers.
