In the WTA 125K Jiujiang round of 32 on outdoor hard courts, younger Chinese prospect Zongyu Li (WTA 498, career high 293) faces more experienced compatriot Wushuang Zheng (WTA 433, career high 237) in a matchup shaped by their split head-to-head from March ITF Maanshan events—Zheng won 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 in W35 before Li dominated 6-2, 6-0 in W50 qualifiers. Li enters with momentum from straight-sets qualifier wins over Yiming Dang and Priska Madelyn Nugroho in the past 48 hours, while Zheng advanced past Chenting Zhu. No injuries or withdrawals reported; both benefit from home support and solid recent hard-court form amid China's ITF swing.
