This market will resolve “Yes” if any player records a hat trick in any match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. A hat trick is defined as a single player scoring three or more goals in a single match. Goals scored in regular time, stoppage time, and extra time count. Goals scored by way of penalty kick during regular time, stoppage time, or extra time count toward the total. Own goals and penalty shootout goals do not count. If the 2026 FIFA World Cup is cancelled, postponed after August 2, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or it is otherwise unclear whether a player recorded a hat trick within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “No” The resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The expanded 48-team World Cup format and 104 total matches create numerous opportunities for high-volume scoring, particularly in group-stage fixtures against lower-ranked sides where attacking depth from clubs like Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain often produces lopsided results. Leading forwards enter the tournament with strong recent club form and minimal reported injury issues on official pre-tournament lists, sustaining offensive threats across multiple contenders. Historical patterns from the prior two World Cups, featuring several hat tricks, align with the current trader consensus reflected in the 86% implied probability for Yes, though late roster adjustments or defensive masterclasses in knockout stages could still shift outcomes.
