Trader consensus reflects intense competition among MLS clubs for Cristiano Ronaldo's services following February reports of a €50 million release clause in his Al-Nassr contract allowing a summer 2026 exit amid ownership tensions and a player strike. With no frontrunner emerging from broad league-wide inquiries, implied probabilities remain tightly bunched at 38-48% across top outcomes like Atlanta United (48.5%), Chicago Fire (43.5%), and San Jose Earthquakes (42.9%), driven by available designated player slots, international roster acquisitions, and ownership ambitions to replicate Messi's Inter Miami impact. European options like Sporting CP (37%) and Real Madrid (20.4%) lag due to wage barriers and Ronaldo's age, while recent April warnings highlight MLS physicality risks but haven't shifted sentiment.
