Viktoria Plzeň's February knockout play-off exit on penalties to Panathinaikos—despite remaining unbeaten on the pitch after the sole perfect league phase record (3W-5D-0L)—ensured all semifinalists, including Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, SC Braga, and SC Freiburg, carry at least one prior defeat, anchoring trader consensus at 54% "No" for an unbeaten Europa League champion. Quarterfinal second legs completed within the last day delivered lopsided aggregates like Aston Villa's 7-1 rout of Bologna and Freiburg's 6-1 thrashing of Celta Vigo, boosting favorites' momentum into Freiburg-Braga and Forest-Villa semifinals. Tight odds reflect competitive knockout matchups, potential fatigue from domestic schedules, and low liquidity, with injuries to key players or semifinal upsets poised to sway sentiment further.
