Mitch Marner’s 88% implied probability stems from his record-setting natural hat trick—the fastest in Stanley Cup Final history at 6:10—in Game 3 against the Carolina Hurricanes, part of a 10-goal, 28-point playoff run that leads all skaters. As the Vegas Golden Knights’ top-line forward facing the Hurricanes in a series tied at 3-2 entering Game 6, Marner benefits from elevated ice time, power-play usage, and offensive zone starts against a Carolina defense that has allowed multiple multi-goal outbursts. Other Vegas and Carolina forwards trail far behind in single-game goal totals and lack comparable recent form or matchup advantages. A realistic shift would require another skater to post four or more goals in one of the remaining games or force overtime heroics that eclipse Marner’s established mark, though his consistent production and series role make such an outcome unlikely under current conditions.
