Trader consensus heavily favors Benfica to secure second place in the Primeira Liga table with an 81% implied probability, reflecting their two-point lead over Sporting CP (75-73 pts) after 31 matches, bolstered by an unbeaten record (22W-9D-0L) and a crucial 2-1 away win at Sporting's Alvalade on April 20 that vaulted them atop the battle for the runner-up spot and UCL qualifiers. Sporting's recent form has faltered with draws including a 2-2 vs. Tondela on matchday 31 and injuries to key players like Morten Hjulmand and Gonçalo Inácio (ankle issues into mid-May), hindering their chase despite superior goal difference (+55). FC Porto's dominant 82-point lead (26W-4D-1L) renders their drop to second highly improbable at 0.8%, with three fixtures remaining for all contenders amid tight scheduling.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve to the team officially recognized by Primeira Liga as finishing in second place. If multiple teams are officially awarded second place, the market will resolve to the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish 2nd in the 2025-2026 Primeira Liga season (e.g. they are mathematically unable to achieve enough points), the market will resolve to "No".
If the 2025-2026 Primeira Liga season is cancelled, postponed after June 7, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no 2nd place team declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source will be official information from Primeira Liga. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
