Benjamin O'Connell, an Australian with an ATP ranking near 1140 and ITF experience on hard courts, faces Matic Kriznik in the M15 Los Angeles second round on outdoor hard. Kriznik, a University of Alabama standout and recent NCAA qualifier with limited pro singles results, advanced through qualifying with straight-set wins over Matteo Huarte and Gus Grumet. O'Connell enters after mixed May results on hard, including a first-round win but a straight-sets loss in Birmingham Challenger qualifying. The surface and recent local tournament form favor the younger Kriznik in trader pricing, though O'Connell's ranking edge and pro match volume provide upset potential in this low-level ITF encounter.
