Mercedes leads the 2026 constructors' championship with a substantial points advantage after early-season races, driven by its power unit's edge in the new regulations emphasizing electrical deployment, energy recovery, and power management. The Silver Arrows have secured every grand prix victory so far, with strong reliability and pace from drivers like George Russell and Kimi Antonelli. Ferrari sits second but trails due to narrower margins in straight-line speed and deployment, while McLaren, as a Mercedes customer team, remains competitive yet limited by chassis development gaps. Red Bull's in-house power unit lags significantly, and other squads face steeper adaptation challenges to the active aero and hybrid rules. Trader consensus reflects Mercedes' consistent form and regulatory fit, though mid-season upgrades and reliability swings could narrow gaps.
