Manchester City hold a razor-thin 50.5% implied probability edge over Arsenal (49.0%) for Premier League 2nd place, reflecting their ongoing title race atop the table where Arsenal lead 73 points (+38 GD) from 34 matches to City's 70 (+37 GD) from 33. City's pivotal 2-1 victory over Arsenal on April 19—thanks to goals from Rayan Cherki and Erling Haaland—sparked a momentum shift, closing a prior nine-point gap despite games in hand, bolstered by City's superior goals scored (tiebreaker) and head-to-head record. Arsenal's nervy recent win reclaimed the summit five days ago, but traders price City's extra fixture and form as sufficient to potentially relegate the Gunners to runner-up, with Manchester United, Aston Villa, and Liverpool distant at under 0.5% each amid tougher remaining schedules.
