The planned three-match T20I bilateral series between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka, originally set for March 2026 in the UAE, was postponed indefinitely due to regional conflicts disrupting flights and logistics, with rescheduling eyed for late 2026. This follows Afghanistan’s 2-1 T20I series loss to Sri Lanka in early 2024 and leaves both sides without recent head-to-head data. Afghanistan enters with new T20I captain Ibrahim Zadran, while Sri Lanka’s white-ball side focuses on rebuilding amid ongoing A-team commitments in the concurrent Tri-Nation Series in Dambulla featuring Afghanistan A. Pitch conditions, squad availability, and any updates on the postponed dates remain the primary variables traders are monitoring for shifts in implied probabilities.
