Lancashire Lightning secured a convincing 39-run victory over Nottinghamshire Outlaws in their May 25 North Group clash at Emirates Old Trafford, powered by half-centuries from Ben McDermott, Matty Hurst, and Keaton Jennings in a total of 208 for 4, before Tom Hartley claimed four wickets to restrict the visitors to 169 for 9. Lancashire entered the fixture seeking their first Blast win of the season after an earlier defeat, while Notts have shown inconsistent form across limited-overs and Championship cricket, sitting mid-table with limited quarter-final prospects. Both sides feature several T20 specialists, but recent results highlight Lancashire’s stronger home batting depth and spin options as key differentiators in head-to-head encounters at Old Trafford.
