Pavel Kotov enters as the trader-favored pick against Yi Zhou in the ATP Challenger Busan Round of 32 on outdoor hard courts, bolstered by a 1-0 head-to-head lead from their 2024 Beijing Challenger win (6-1, 6-3, 7-5) and superior experience despite his current No. 253 ranking (career-high No. 50). The 27-year-old Russian's baseline power suits the surface, contrasting 21-year-old Zhou's recent struggles with straight-set losses in Wuning (to Kody Pearson), Miyazaki (to Ognjen Milic), and other hard-court Challengers. No confirmed injuries or withdrawals reported pre-match, though Zhou received a wildcard while Kotov qualified; monitor weather and fatigue from qualifiers as key variables in this evenly matched ATP 125 encounter.
