Third-seeded Adam Walton (ATP No. 117) enters the Jiujiang Challenger round of 16 on outdoor hard courts with a ranking edge and 1-0 head-to-head lead over qualifier Tung-Lin Wu (No. 326), having prevailed 6-0, 6-7(5), 7-6(4) in the 2024 Pune Challenger on similar surface. Both posted straight-sets first-round wins yesterday—Walton over wildcard Jie Cui 6-3, 6-2, and Wu against wildcard Rigele Te 6-4, 6-1—signaling solid momentum into this best-of-three matchup. Walton's 13-12 hard-court record this year trails Wu's stronger 18-7, but his higher-level experience and serve-return stats favor him amid no reported injuries or withdrawals. Traders weigh Wu's qualifier grit against Walton's seeding advantages.
