Adolfo Daniel Vallejo enters as the trader-favored choice at 70% implied probability against Jaime Faria in the Internazionali BNL d'Italia qualifying first round on outdoor clay, driven by his superior recent form highlighted by a breakout run at the Mutua Madrid Open last week. The No. 96-ranked Paraguayan qualified, stunned No. 14 Grigor Dimitrov 6-4, 6-4 in the main draw debut, beat Learner Tien, and reached the round of 16 before falling to Flavio Cobolli—showcasing strong clay baseline play and big-match poise. Faria, ranked No. 136 with a career-high No. 87, also qualified in Madrid via wins over Quentin Halys and Lloyd Harris (ret.) but exited early in the main draw to Hubert Hurkacz, reflecting solid challenger-level clay results like Asuncion quarterfinals but less Masters momentum. No head-to-head exists, no reported injuries for either, and both right-handers suit the slow Roman clay, though Vallejo's ranking edge and fresher high-level wins underpin the consensus.
