Alastair Gray enters as the 73% trader-favored pick on Polymarket against Yasutaka Uchiyama in this ATP Challenger hard-court clash in Wuxi, driven by his superior recent form and direct matchup edge. Gray, ranked No. 324 with a career 68% hard-court win rate, recently captured an M25 Maanshan title and advanced in Wuning 1 by forcing Uchiyama's retirement at 6-3, 4-3 in their head-to-head debut just weeks ago, showcasing stylistic advantages in serve and baseline play. The 27-year-old Gray boasts a 16-8 YTD record, including five straight wins prior, contrasting Uchiyama's 11-7 mark marred by four losses in five entering that encounter and ongoing struggles at age 33 despite a No. 298 ranking and recent Yokkaichi Challenger final. No confirmed injuries, but Uchiyama's retirement raises fitness questions amid Gray's momentum.
