Tung-Lin Wu holds a significant edge over Rigele Te in the ATP Challenger Jiujiang first-round clash on hard courts, driven by his higher ranking at No. 326 versus Te's No. 797, superior recent form, and stronger hard-court record of 230-168 career. Wu advanced through qualifiers here with dominant straight-set wins over Jiangnan Wei (6-0, 6-0) and Jake Delaney (2-0), building momentum after earlier Challenger qualifying successes like defeating Ilya Ivashka in Gwangju. Te, a local Chinese player, enters off recent losses including a semifinal defeat to Karlis Ozolins at M15 Maanshan and struggles in Suzhou, marking a multi-match skid on similar surfaces. With no prior head-to-head, traders weigh Wu's consistency against Te's home-crowd potential and upset history in Challengers.
