Hamish Stewart carries strong momentum into his second-round clash against Blaise Bicknell at the Abidjan 2 Challenger on outdoor hard courts, fresh off a runner-up finish in Abidjan 1 last week where he upset the No. 2 seed Maxime Chazal 6-2, 6-1 en route to the final against top seed Gauthier Onclin. Stewart dominated his first-round opener here, crushing qualifier Aditya Vishal Balsekar 6-2, 6-1, showcasing sharp serving and baseline aggression. Higher-ranked Bicknell (No. 334) advanced via retirement against Bor Artnak at 4-3 but faces his sternest test yet without prior head-to-head history. No injury concerns reported; expect a competitive baseline battle influenced by tropical conditions and minimal rest for Stewart in this back-to-back event.
