Raphael Perot faces higher-ranked compatriot Robin Bertrand in the Royan Challenger on clay, with Bertrand holding the edge in ATP standing at approximately No. 286 versus Perot’s position near No. 410. Bertrand’s career-high ranking of 260 and consistent appearances in ATP-level events, including recent Roland Garros qualifying, provide a baseline advantage in experience. Perot, however, enters with momentum from back-to-back wins at the Lyon Challenger in early June. Both players are right-handers with limited prior head-to-head history, making recent form, clay-court comfort, and physical freshness the primary variables traders weigh for this first-round matchup.
