Ribeiro/Zeballos enter the Asuncion 2 Challenger doubles draw as the top seeds on clay, leveraging Federico Zeballos’s career-high doubles ranking of No. 79 and greater pair experience compared with Nicolas Kicker and Ignacio Monzon. The Brazilian-Bolivian duo has posted consistent recent results across South American challengers, including quarterfinal appearances in the days leading into this event. Kicker, primarily a singles competitor ranked around No. 361, and Monzon, a lower-ranked Argentine, form a home pairing benefiting from local clay familiarity and recent individual activity but lack comparable doubles synergy or pedigree. Surface conditions and seeding position favor the higher-ranked team’s serve-volley patterns and return consistency, though early-round variance remains possible in best-of-three sets.
