Vilius Gaubas enters the Lyon clay-court encounter as the clear favorite based on ranking and head-to-head history, holding a 3-0 edge over Miguel Damas in prior meetings on the surface. The Lithuanian, currently ranked No. 133 after a career-high No. 101 earlier in 2026, brings recent momentum from his first ATP Tour victory and a run to the third round of a Masters 1000 event. Damas, ranked around No. 267, has shown flashes including a Challenger final appearance but has struggled for consistency in recent outings, including a second-round exit at the Prostejov Challenger. The match, scheduled for June 8, features two right-handers with Gaubas typically holding advantages in experience at higher levels and serve consistency on clay.
