Roman Andres Burruchaga enters as the clear trader favorite against Andrea Pellegrino in the ATP Challenger Cagliari round of 16 on outdoor clay, buoyed by his No. 59 ranking, recent Houston Challenger final appearance, and a perfect 2-0 head-to-head record including a straight-sets win earlier this year in Punta del Este. The Argentine, seeded fourth, has shown strong clay form with high first-serve win percentages and break-point conversion in recent matches, while the No. 130-ranked Pellegrino—playing as an alternate with home-crowd support in Italy—advanced past Stefanos Sakellaridis but faces stylistic disadvantages against Burruchaga's baseline power. No major injuries reported for either; weather remains a minor outdoor factor on this Mediterranean clay. Burruchaga's momentum from last week's deep run drives the implied probabilities.
