Tristan Schoolkate enters as the higher-ranked contender at No. 114 against Liam Broady (No. 221) in the Gwangju Challenger second round on outdoor hardcourts, where both players advanced via dominant straight-sets first-round wins—Schoolkate bageling Hayato Matsuoka 6-0, 6-4, and Broady dispatching Beibit Zhukayev 6-2, 6-1. This first head-to-head pits Schoolkate's youth, power, and recent Challenger momentum against Broady's left-handed serving edge, experience, and solid hardcourt return game. No injury concerns reported, with mild weather (highs near 75°F, partly cloudy) unlikely to impact play; a deep run here could boost either player's rankings trajectory amid tight schedules.
