In the ATP Challenger Cagliari round of 16 on clay, No. 78 Mattia Bellucci holds ranking and head-to-head advantages over No. 232 Gianluca Cadenasso, having previously prevailed in three sets, but faces a motivated underdog with superior surface history. Bellucci grinded out a 6-4, 1-6, 7-5 win over Lorenzo Sonego in 2h40m yesterday, potentially taxing his left-handed game, while 21-year-old Cadenasso dominated Lorenzo Carboni 6-3, 6-1 in 1h13m for fresher legs and home-crowd boost in Italy. Cadenasso's 12-9 clay record this year outpaces Bellucci's 4-4, highlighting stylistic matchup risks on the slower outdoor courts with no reported injuries or withdrawals.
