Trader consensus prices Scottie Scheffler as a slim 21.5% favorite for the PGA TOUR Championship winner amid tightly bunched top outcomes (17-21.5%), reflecting modest starting stroke advantages from current FedExCup standings through the Zurich Classic—leader Matt Fitzpatrick (+10 strokes), Scheffler (+8), Collin Morikawa (+7), and Chris Gotterup (+5 at No. 6 with two 2026 wins)—at East Lake Golf Club's stroke-play finale. Scheffler's edge stems from dominant course history, including recent victories there, elite ball-striking, and steady Round 1 at the ongoing Cadillac Championship, while Morikawa's iron precision and Gotterup's breakout form (Sony Open, WM Phoenix wins) fuel competition; lower-ranked contenders like Adam Scott, Hideki Matsuyama, and Sepp Straka gain traction via top-10 consistency despite trailing points gaps.
