Punjab Kings top the IPL 2026 points table with 13 points from eight matches (six wins, one loss, one no-result) and +1.043 NRR, driving their 28.5% implied probability despite Rajasthan Royals handing them their first defeat on April 28 via Donovan Ferreira and Shubham Dubey's unbeaten stand. Royal Challengers Bengaluru sit second on 12 points from eight games with the league-best +1.919 NRR, bolstered by defending champion form and Virat Kohli's 350+ runs at strike rate over 162, keeping them at 26.5%. Sunrisers Hyderabad's five straight wins, including a massive chase of 243 against Mumbai Indians, propelled them to third and 17.3%, while Royals' upset victory lifted them to fourth at 16%. This bunched top-four scrap, amid high-scoring pitches and playoff implications, sustains the tight trader consensus.
