Kimi Antonelli holds a commanding lead in the 2026 F1 Drivers' Championship with 156 points after multiple early-season wins, including dominant results in China, Japan, and Miami, reflecting Mercedes' superior car pace and the Italian driver's rapid adaptation in his second full campaign. This performance underpins the market's 59.5% implied probability, as traders price in the difficulty for rivals to close the gap over the remaining rounds. George Russell trails in third on the standings at around 88-106 points despite consistent Mercedes machinery, while Lewis Hamilton sits second with 90-115 points after his Ferrari switch but has yet to convert strong qualifying into consistent victories. Max Verstappen and other contenders lag further back amid Red Bull and McLaren challenges, with limited realistic paths to overtake absent major reliability issues or regulatory shifts.
